Romantic Fall Wedding at Warehouse 18 | Ryan & Jenna
A timeless wedding at Warehouse 18 in Hickory
Congratulations to Ryan and Jenna on their unforgettable fall wedding at Warehouse 18 in Hickory, NC. It was my first time at this venue, and I loved everything about it, especially that it’s so close to my alma mater, Lenoir-Rhyne University. Their navy and burgundy color palette perfectly complemented the moody atmosphere of the space, and they truly made it their own. I can’t wait for you to see all the beautiful moments from their day!
For their wedding day, Jenna chose a truly classic bridal look. She wore a timeless, modern A-line gown with a flattering deep V-neckline. The dress draped beautifully without heavy embellishment, letting its tailoring speak for itself. To pull it together, she chose a classic updo with a cathedral length veil with a delicate lace-trimmed edge. A red and green bouquet with white roses finished her look. Her bridesmaids wore classic burgundy gowns, perfect for the fall season. After her bridal look was ready, Jenna shared an emotional first look with her father before heading to meet Ryan for their first look and private vows. We found a cozy spot in the courtyard where they could have a quiet moment together before walking down the aisle in front of all their guests.
Afterwards, it was time for their ceremony. Jenna and Ryan envisioned an indoor, intimate ceremony with close friends and family. They exchanged vows under a gorgeous altar of flowers that we later used for family formals. I’m a huge fan of finding creative ways to highlight the spaces my couples put energy into transforming for photos as much as possible.
After family portraits, we headed back outside for wedding party and newlywed portraits. This time, we moved out of the courtyard and used the industrial charm of the venue. With the timing of the ceremony, Ryan and Jenna’s newlywed portraits aligned perfectly with golden hour. The rest of the evening was spent at their super fun reception. Ryan and Jenna are so laid back and fun, so I knew their reception would be a great time. Having been roommates and teammates with Jenna’s sister during college, it was also a little reunion as people danced around the party.
Jenna and Ryan enjoyed the dance floor right alongside their guests until their private last dance. They ended the night with a lighted ribbon wand exit (a new one for me), and I absolutely loved how their images turned out! I intentionally dragged my shutter to create light trails surrounding the couple.
Congratulations again, Ryan and Jenna! I’m so happy for you both, and I wish you many years of happiness together. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your incredible vendor team. It was a beautiful celebration!
